It is hard to find an all-electric full-size truck that offers efficiency and high performance at the same time. But the Ford F-150 Lightning at Arceneaux Ford in New Iberia, LA is one of the unique trucks in the lineup that offers all these features in one package.

The Ford F-150 Lightning has the power of a full-size pickup, but it’s powered by electricity instead of gasoline. It’s powered by two motors; one mounted at the front axle and one mounted at the rear axle.

The front motor can produce up to 452 horsepower and 775 lb.-ft of torque, while the rear motor can produce up to 580 horsepower and 775 lb.-ft of torque. The combined power output is 932 hp and 1,550 lb-ft of torque—enough to tow up to 10,000 pounds.

The Ford F-150 Lightning’s battery pack is liquid-cooled lithium-ion with 98 kWh or 131 kWh capacity. You can charge the truck using either an 11-kW onboard charger or an optional 19-kW unit that will bring you from 0% to 80% capacity in a few.
